An application for a Skilled Migrant Visa is a two stage process, commencing with an Expression of Interest (EOI). Within the EOI, points are awarded for age, qualifications, relevant work experience, offer of employment in New Zealand and other factors.

A minimum of 100 points must be claimed on an EOI, however, this is not to say an application with 100 points will be successful. Immigration set the selection criteria each year, and each selection from the EOI Pool is prioritised according to these criteria.

Applicants must be aged between 20-55 to make an application.
